A silk lampas with a graceful design and the elegance and gentle rhythm of textile creations from the mid-18th century. The Rubelli style department has reduced the scale of the original document, of Venetian origin and kept in the historical archives, and recreated – as in a work of restoration – part of the lost document. Although there are no metallic wefts, the luminous effect comes from the shiny white weft – always light and in contrast to the coloured ground – which traces the lace with a typical Louis XV meander motif. The ground and colour combinations are fresh and a departure from classic schemes.
